Piedra Herrada Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary
We spent the day at the Piedra Herrada Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary. It's an amazing place where millions of monarch butterflies fly each winter from the northeastern United States and eastern Canada to spend the winter and mate. They return in March and April. We had to hike up a mountain to get to where the butterflies filled the trees and swarmed the sky above. Join us!
